I am very grateful for the opportunity to work with the City of Laguna Beach. I applied for the 2021 Banner Competition and was one of the two artists chosen to display their work.
They commissioned me to paint a 4ft x 16ft banner of a Betta Fish on both sides. The reason why I chose the Betta Fish as my subject is because of it’s symbolic meaning: Beautiful Warrior.
My intention for this piece is to inspire people to keep fighting for their dreams and to never give up. The banner will be displayed on Main Beach for the next 7 years every summer.
