This painting is part of my Efflorescence series. I painted three different women where each is represented with unique blooms as their heads and their upper bodies are naked without shame. I wanted to show case that we as individual women, are unique with characteristics of our own such as that our beauty does lie within what is different about us, not just what is similar between us. The Honeysuckle represents: happiness, friendship, love and devotion. I chose this flower in particular because I randomly met this wonderful woman and she agreed to be a model for my work.
